Howl'oween is unique in that we honor the ancient tradition of All Hallow's Eve, we honor the connection between Wolf and Human, our ancestors who have passed before us, and the growth in spirit for us all. We will invite you to open your heart and mind to some of the beautiful Celtic ceremonies and traditions where Halloween originated.
The Celtic festival "Samhain", celebrates the end of summer and the beginning of the dark cold winter. During Samhain, the Celts wore costumes and danced around a bonfire to tell stories and play out the cycles of life and death on the "Wheel of Life". We will have a tour through the compound, ending at our Medicine Wheel, where you will meet the "Protectors" of this haunting experience.
This year, the Wolf Heart Ranch will host the spirits of nature's elements and the cycles of life during our Howl'oween Hike. We will start by coming together as a pack, then hiking into the mountains with the wolves, bonding and growing our relationships with them.
Meet the Wolf Connection pack accompanied by our otherworldly hosts who will guide you on your journey through the compound, introducing you to the wolves who inhabit the land and the spirits who are visiting the compound for this special celebration.
In order to make it back to the celebration, you will need to pass through the Forest Path, thinly veiling the spirit world from ours, where you may be met by Nature's Elements. Take a breath, listen to your heart and make your way forward, keep going.
As you emerge from the Forest Path, enjoy the warmth of the fire surrounded by musical guests Greg Holden, James Smith of The Spring Standards and Garrison Starr, to name a few. During Samhain, it was believed that the veil between the physical world and the other world provided extra energy for communications between the living and dead. True to Celtic traditions, festivities will also include Fortune Tellers whose divinations may lighten your dark winter.
To end the mystical evening, we will gather around the fire, enjoy S'mores as we listen to Wolf Connection's founder, Teo Alfero, share the story of the Ancient Bond between Wolf and Human. Together as a pack, we will share a final moment to come together and listen to our own Wolf Heart making this a Halloween celebration that you will never forget! This production is generously being donated by the incredible performers of Dark Tide Productions @darktideproductions
PRICE $100
(Due to the nature of our hikes, we have set a minimum age limit of 7yrs old. If you are interested in bringing children younger than 7, please contact us for details regarding our private visits. The hike is just approximately 1.5 miles and contains a few mild hills.)
